Troubleshooting
Common fixes, roughly in order of how often they help.
An instrument (tanpura, tabla, harmonium) is silent
Check the per-instrument volume slider isn't at zero, and that your phone's media volume (not ringer volume) is turned up. If you're using headphones or a Bluetooth speaker, try switching back to the phone's built-in speaker to rule out a connection issue, then reopen the app.
The app opens to a black or blank screen
Force-stop the app from your phone's app settings and reopen it. If it persists, restart your phone, then check the Play Store or App Store for a pending SurSadhak update — display issues are usually fixed in the next release.
Recording or the tuner asks for microphone permission
SurSadhak needs microphone access only for recording your voice or an instrument, and for the tuner. Grant it from your phone's Settings → Apps → SurSadhak → Permissions → Microphone. Denying it disables recording and the tuner but nothing else.
Audio crackles, lags or falls out of sync
This is usually a device audio-buffer issue rather than a SurSadhak-specific bug. Close other apps using audio in the background, and if you're on Bluetooth audio, try wired headphones or the built-in speaker — Bluetooth adds latency that can make tight taal cycles feel out of sync.
A purchase or Premium feature didn't unlock
Make sure you're signed in with the same Google or Apple account you subscribed with, then restart the app. If it still doesn't unlock, see subscription help below before contacting support.
Still stuck?
Email support@sursadhak.com with your phone model, OS version and the app version (Settings → About in the app) — that's usually enough for us to reproduce it.
