Aarohआरोह
A raag's ascending scale — the sequence of notes used going from low to high.
Also spelled aroha. A raag’s aaroh doesn’t have to use all seven scale degrees or move in strict order — many raags omit notes on the way up (see jati) or take an indirect (vakra) path.
